I’m an introvert and my husband is very clearly an extrovert. For him and my son, who’s an extrovert, this has been taxing \u2014 mental health is very clearly an issue. I think that this conversation is of absolute critical importance right now around the world. But for me here in America, we are so lacking services, understanding and medicines \u2014 even people who are trained therapists and psychologists, I find a lot of times are at a loss.<\/p>\n

Why are we not having these conversations?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I know people are struggling \u2014 but I don’t know exactly who<\/em>. I know people are struggling and I don’t want to burden them with my burdens. You know, logically, \u201clet’s share let’s work through this together, let’s support each other.\u201d That\u2019s the logic. The feeling and the emotion is, \u201cI don’t know if you are struggling, so I don’t want to assume that you are and share my burden with you \u2014 in case I’m putting something on you.\u201d<\/p>\n

If I know you better than just an acquaintance, why did you not call me? Why am I not calling you? Why are we not having these conversations together?<\/p>\n
